A few days ago, we launched a new feature that allows business owners to claim their business listing(s) using phone, mail, or manual verifications.
Once a merchant verifies they are the business owner, they will be given tools to:
- edit all of their contact information
- edit all of their business attributes (such as hours of operation & payment methods accepted)
- replying to reviews
- providing different departmental or additional phone numbers
- providing your slogan & a message to consumers
- uploading pictures and videos that will be marked as "from the merchant"
- uploading documents such as menus, price lists, etc.
I claimed my business but some of the tags are just plain WRONG. How can I fix them?
Hi Lynn,Thank you for claiming your business!On the profile page you can add new tags (look for the "Add a tag" link). I'll have someone get in touch regarding the wrong tags so we can get them removed. - ask
While this feature is useful, it would be better to have an easy way for a user to add their business if it cannot be found.
I claimed my business but never got a confirmation - no e-mail - no phone call - nada. Just curious how long this would take for a verification.
I like the site - just wish the claiming component gave more direction after you complete the form.
